The Type 61 was a main battle tank (MBT) developed and used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Development started in 1955 and the vehicle was first deployed in April 1961. The type number follows the year of deployment. A total of 560 Type 61s were manufactured between 1961 to 1975, when production ceased.

Czołg to zmodyfikowana miejscowo wersja Centuriona Mk5, przezbrojona w armatę 105 mm L7A1, wyposażona w dalmierz laserowy i system kierowania ogniem produkcji niemieckiej. Schemat malowania nawiązuje do malowania brytyjskich wozów pancernych, różny jest tylko odcień zieleni.

Pojazd w całości pomalowany na kolor piaskowy (FS33711), na burtach kadłuba numer ewidencyjny Korpusu Piechoty Morskiej w kolorze białym. Na niektórych zdjęciach z owego okresu pojazdy tego batalionu operujące w Iraku oznaczone były dodatkowo czarnymi szewronami, jednak brak dokumentacji fotograficznej pozwalającej umieścić takie oznaczenia na tym egzemplarzu.

BTR-80 w malowaniu rosyjskiej 98. Dywizji Powietrznodesantowej, wchodzącej w skład KFOR, Prisztina, Serbia, 1999 r. Nieoficjalne godło na burcie to postać z kreskówki, piesek Snoopy, strzelający z karabinu maszynowego typu Browning. Na tyle kadłuba pojazdu numer taktyczny "12", umieszczony obok kawaleryjskiego szewronu. Transporter w całości jest pomalowany na kolor ciemnozielony.

Czołg otrzymał trójbarwne malowanie maskujące, składające się z oryginalnego koloru oliwkowozielonego, pozostawionego na górnych powierzchniach pojazdu, koloru piaskowego na większości powierzchni bocznych oraz nieregularnych plam barwy brązowej. Numer taktyczny w kolorze żółtym.

There are two tanks known as IS-3. IS-3 (Objekt 244) was an IS-2 rearmed with the long-barrelled 85mm cannon (D-5T-85-BM). It was developed by LKZ (in Leningrad) and was not taken in service. IS-3 (Object 703) was developed in late 1944 by ChTZ (in Chelyabinsk) and left the factory shop in May 1945.[21] This tank had an improved armour layout, and a semi-hemispherical cast turret (resembling an overturned soup bowl) which became the hallmark of post-war Soviet tanks.

The Chieftain FV4201 was the main battle tank of the United Kingdom during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. A development of the Centurion and therefore a continuation of the British cruiser series, sharing a substantial commonality of parts with both its predecessor and successor. It was the "most formidable main battle tank in the world" with, at the time of its introduction in 1966 the most powerful main gun and most effective armour of any tank ever made. The Chieftain also introduced a supine (reclining backwards) driver position, enabling a heavily sloped hull with reduced height. Faster than Centurion, able to maintain its speed longer than the Leopard 1 and out-gunning its contemporaries Chieftain was also the first tank to enhance its (already superior) armour with composite armour add-ons, beginning with Chobham developed in the UK.
